What it is

The brief

It’s a daily read, about four minutes, on what actually changed in AI for marketers and what to do about it. No hype, no B.S. You get the one thing that matters, the labs’ releases worth your attention, and a short list of tools, then you get on with your day.

Not this

It’s not a roundup of press releases. It’s not a hype feed. It’s not another tool you have to check.

The name

You already know the marketing meaning: last-click attribution, credit to whatever ad or link a buyer touched right before they bought. This is the other last click, the one disappearing now that AI answers questions before anyone has to visit a site or touch a link at all. Whether that’s the whole story or just the loud part of it, the job is the same: read what’s actually changing and decide what to do about it before someone else decides for you. If the click is really on its way out, consider this the field guide.

The editor

Esther Brown, editor of Last Click
Esther BrownEditor

Esther Brown has spent close to twenty years in marketing and go-to-market, and has the scars to prove it. She came up through Silicon Alley, then built brand and community marketing at Google, where she grew Local Guides, Google Maps’ reviewer program, into a brand that stuck, a tenfold rise in reviews that made the ecosystem self-sustaining. She has a good eye for what a launch actually changes for marketers in the trenches.

She runs her own marketing consultancy, built to seven figures without paid ads, and has led growth inside AI startups. Now she edits Last Click, four minutes a day on what actually changed in AI for marketers and what to do about it. No hype, and no doom either, just what matters and why.

On AI, she’ll admit the whole range: delightful, magical, cringe, and some days terrifying, often all at once. So does almost everyone else. Most newsletters pick a side because it sells and it flatters their base. The real story’s messier. The cat’s not going back in the bag, so she does the reading for you, and you keep up without it eating your day. That’s the whole reason Last Click exists.

When something’s good, we say so. When it’s hype, we say so too.
